Lesson #7 - Part 2

Sonship- The revealing of the children of God
Born again- Your new identity as the Beloved
Open your eyes- Light vs darkness
Beholding- How do we live with unveiled faces

We all have heard the great debate over human existance. Creation vs. evolution. I won't go into that. Why you might ask? There is no need really. God already says that He created the Heavens and the Earth and truthfully that's enough for me. For me He is my Father.

 I look around at all the things He created including man's recent "discoveries" and I am perfectly convinced that He is beyond amazing. I love a part in this song that says, ...you thought it strange so once did I before I met my Savior....For those of us that God has chosen to reveal Himself to it sounds so far fetched to explain but we don't have to make up anything or be ashamed. We are given the chance to know a beautiful God who will reveal Himself to the whole world and then there will be no more debate. So if you are already saved and belong to Christ Jesus don't spend one more moment on this issue. Besides a greater thing has happened. Let's take a look.

While the world was tinkering with it's machines and formulas and technology, God has created under it's nose an entirely new species of people. We are 100% human and 100% God in us. Wow! Just as the Holy Spirit of God appeared on those in the Upper Room, as they waited for the gift promised by Jesus, so too is the Holy Spirit of God given to you. You are a new creation, born of the Spirit and not of man. You have  been given a new identity in Christ. You are the Beloved of God.

But wait you say. When you look in the mirror you see the same person. Scripture tells us that our outer person (body) or jar of clay for now is the same and that God has done this purposefully for his glory. When he returns he will take care of the outer person by replacing it with something that is incorruptable. What you are to do now is grow in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus and be willing for him to transform and renew your mind. The old you is dead spiritually and the new you lives under the power of God to his glory.

So put away all that binds and intangles, all your cares and worries and live your life as a royal citizen of Heaven. Light in the Valley of the Shadow of Death and in the darkness of this world. That is your only option. Unless you take your proper place, your inheritance, you will be miserable. It is meant for you in this world. You have been given a new heart and live under a new covenant of His goodness and grace. Scripture tells us to be sure that we do not find ourselves falling short of His grace. God pours out His grace on you according to what He has called you to do so that you will not be lacking.

Don't just live. Live like Christ. Being like Christ can only happen if we have the knowledge and understanding of who Christ is. Because He died you live and because He lives, all things are possible to them who believe.

These first seven post are just the milk. Starting in post #8 we are going to take a little journey both through the bible and through our own individual lives. The exact method I am still in prayer over so please pray for me. Make sure you go over any of  the basics before we get started and send a reply if you have questions about anything. Our goal will be to begin the process of transformation. The question is, how do we do it? So stay tuned.
